Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adriano Barone kicked off to start the match. Diego Viana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Barone went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, Anfilogino Rocca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Viana. Atlético Mineiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anfilogino Rocca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 17th minute, Emiliano Grossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Barone in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Viana saved Atlético Mineiro from getting behind. After 21 minutes Atlético Mineiro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Attilio Iob who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Villa Gordiani's Anfilogino Rocca to fire away a dangerous shot which Diego Viana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Iob in the 22nd minute of play forced Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper Diego Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adriano Barone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Rocca in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Adriano Barone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villa Gordiani fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 35th match minute, Atlético Mineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Prestes to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Mineiro's late challenge caught a Villa Gordiani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mineiro's Fabiano Mineiro got a free kick in the 37th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Vides during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Villa Gordiani a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Attilio Iob, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Mineiro's Diego Viana. 0-4. In the 43rd minute, Perivaldo Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Barone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Guilherme Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Atlético Mineiro defense, Adriano Barone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Viana. The Atlético Mineiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Viana should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd match minute, Villa Gordiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Trombatore to maneuver through the defense. Diego Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Attilio Iob in the 64th minute. Jonathan Vides got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Atlético Mineiro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Adriano Barone scored to the left of an out of position Diego Viana, making the score, 0-6. 80 minutes into the game, Adriano Barone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Diego Viana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diego Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Barone in the 86th minute. Diego Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Rocca in the 87th minute of play. Attilio Iobs short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Diego Viana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Diego Viana was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alberigo Biscotti. Villa Gordiani's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
