Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) MKS Legion Częstochowa's Norbert Bambas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michel Duset didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Polster went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Olin Tenser scored 1-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmund Wielkopolski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmund Wielkopolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andréas Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norbert Bambas struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Michel Duset didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MKS Legion Częstochowa. MKS Legion Częstochowa's Toni Polster got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michel Duset stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toni Polster's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Edu Sousa's late challenge caught a Asarum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edu Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 minutes, Karl-Magnus Nyberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Asarum and the MKS Legion Częstochowa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Asarum getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Nyberg hit a great ball. With a little luck, Asarum's Michel Duset got control of the ball when Norbert Bambas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michel Duset was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Norbert Bambas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Norbert Bambas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Gustaw Frodyma kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Olin Tenser ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmund Wielkopolski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a rather tough play, Asarum's Bo Larsson got a free kick in the 40th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andréas Johnsson to make the kick off. Norbert Bambas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Duset having to interfere. 52 minutes into the match, Asarum's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Polster came free, but Michel Duset reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt Jönsson kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Asarum getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Nyberg hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Toni Polster had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michel Duset. Asarum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toni Polster was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. After a rather tough play, Asarum's Karl-Magnus Nyberg got a free kick in the 68th minute. Toni Polster took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michel Duset. Michel Duset dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. MKS Legion Częstochowa's Norbert Bambas got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 minutes of play, MKS Legion Częstochowa's Józef Pilsudski made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Duset was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Asarum's zone, Toni Polster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Duset came out of the goal and Toni Polster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Asarum's Andréas Johnsson got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Michel Duset came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by MKS Legion Częstochowa's Toni Polster. But to his dismay, Toni Polster quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2.
