The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. DEMİREL.FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emir Başkur in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Hikmet Türkoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens Molander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Selçuk Sağan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jens Molander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sune Kvalfält kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Jens Molander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hikmet Türkoğlu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 24 minute of play. When Thomas Häll came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Ipswich Traktor Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Häll couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Ipswich Traktor Boys's goalkeeper Jens Molander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emir Başkur. Jens Molander came out of the goal and Selçuk Sağan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, Ipswich Traktor Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hubert Björkkvist to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Ipswich Traktor Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Emir Başkur came free, but Jens Molander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Sümer Atlıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludwig Bock took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rüstem Akatay. DEMİREL.FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Marvelous Shady kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Selçuk Sağan might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens Molander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Selçuk Sağan ran back to his position shaking his head. Hikmet Türkoğlu scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens Molander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Bratt got free with Rüstem Akatay in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 65 in the game by Thomas Häll from a close distance when the talented Rüstem Akatay managed to make a qualified save. DEMİREL.FC's players were relieved. Jens Molander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hikmet Türkoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 minutes, Sune Kvalfält mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipswich Traktor Boys and the DEMİREL.FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
