After some careless play in the Chigüires De Mogadiscio defense, Brian Izaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celio Tijero. The Chigüires De Mogadiscio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celio Tijero should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Erramu Huera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Las Casas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Baladi Jorge kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chigüires De Mogadiscio's zone, Christian Aravena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celio Tijero came out of the goal and Christian Aravena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brian Izaga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Celio Tijero came out and tried to block the shot, but Brian Izaga slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 27th minute. Magallanes's Tomás Las Casas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bibiano Velastegui in the 31st minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Bibiano Velastegui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Las Casas. Magallanes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bibiano Velastegui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 46 minutes into the game, Bibiano Velastegui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Tomás Las Casas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

A collision led to Magallanes getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Salomone Marrodan hit a great ball. The supporters of Magallanes booed when Chigüires De Mogadiscio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bibiano Velastegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Magallanes's Romeo Morel got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Urritz Planes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Tomás Las Casas made a huge save. Salomone Marrodan struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Celio Tijero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magallanes. Xavieon Diguja kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Luis Johnson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celio Tijero. Chigüires De Mogadiscio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Celio Tijero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Izaga in the 85th minute of play. Celio Tijero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Aravena in the 86th minute of play.
