Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elliot Rosendal kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Grütly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernan Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Rosendal, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardino Odon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Esteban Guerrero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardino Odon went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Agustin Lamberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grütly's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Lamberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Guerrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 56 minutes, Jarrett Maddern managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elderslie Magpies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarrett Maddern was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grütly's Fernan Manilan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Rosendal in the 57th minute of play. Bernardino Odon might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteban Guerrero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardino Odon ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joel Åkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Gavino Lia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteban Guerrero. Elderslie Magpies's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gavino Lia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 89 played minutes Grütly got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Guillem. After a defensive mix-up in Grütly's zone, Jarrett Maddern stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Manilan came out of the goal and Jarrett Maddern tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Grütly getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Evaristo Guillem hit a great ball. Elderslie Magpies's Esteban Guerrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Lia in the 94th minute of play. If Ronaldo-Luís Nazário De Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
