An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Pittelli in the 3rd minute of play forced Apocalípticos & Caóticos's goalkeeper Clodoveo Ortle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Cayetano Venceslas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Apocalípticos & Caóticos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Lino Sarracino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anselmo Costacurta. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Clodoveo Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carter Marsili in the 14th minute of play. Bianco Trivelli charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bianco Trivelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to San Mauro A Mare FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bianco Trivelli hit a great ball. Clodoveo Ortle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Pittelli in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute San Mauro A Mare FC were awarded a corner. Aldo Amicone went to the cornerflag to take it. San Mauro A Mare FC's Aldo Amicone was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Clodoveo Ortle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristiano Carulli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29thth minute of the game Carter Marsili who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Clodoveo Ortle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Bernardo Rocco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Mauro A Mare FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Rocco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When San Mauro A Mare FC's Carter Marsili in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Apocalípticos & Caóticos's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Anselmo Costacurta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Sarracino in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Apocalípticos & Caóticos getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Tomás Frasco hit a great ball. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Nereo Salomone was substituted for Alfonso Pasqual. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Arsenio Francesco was substituted for Celso Meder. After 62 played minutes Apocalípticos & Caóticos got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Frasco. Aldo Amicone struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Clodoveo Ortle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Mauro A Mare FC. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Clodoveo Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Pittelli in the 67th minute of play. Clodoveo Ortle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Rocco in the 68th minute of the match. Carter Marsili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clodoveo Ortle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carter Marsili's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th match minute, San Mauro A Mare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Rocco to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match, Carter Marsili tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Clodoveo Ortle saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Clodoveo Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Marsili in the 82nd minute of play. Clodoveo Ortle was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Dave Pittelli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dave Pittelli really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. 92 minutes into the match, San Mauro A Mare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Sarracino came free, but Anselmo Costacurta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Apocalípticos & Caóticos's zone, Dave Pittelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Ortle came out of the goal and Dave Pittelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
