Spectators: 7057 (Terracing: 5280, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 2) Colo-Colo's Domenico Báez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oscar Opazo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 21st minute of the game was made by Arturo Vidal with Esteban Pavez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 24 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Báez came free, but Arnoldo Kismi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Colo-Colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Manterola to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Etxepare during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C. A. Atlanta's Rodolfo Etxepare got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Domenico Báez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Lucho Pérez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Kismi was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Arnoldo Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaume Mattei in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes C. A. Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Besart Toto.

The wind increased when Cleto Ferran made the kick off in the second half. José Maria Baquero kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. C. A. Atlanta's Cleto Ferran managed to work through Colo-Colo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cleto Ferran dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 55th match minute, Colo-Colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Báez to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucho Pérez got free with Arnoldo Kismi in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C. A. Atlanta's Arnoldo Kismi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Atlanta from getting a goal against them. Colo-Colo's Lucho Pérez got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute Arturo Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Kismi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Arnoldo Kismi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lucho Pérez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marino Sadin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Eli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, C. A. Atlanta's Arnoldo Kismi got control of the ball when Jaume Mattei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lucho Pérez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Arnoldo Kismi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marino Sadin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Eli in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match, Lucho Pérez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnoldo Kismi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 96 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Vidal came free, but Arnoldo Kismi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colo-Colo played a much better game than C. A. Atlanta and deserved their victory. The C. A. Atlanta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
