The referee ignored FC Maci -MM-'s protests and gave Isac Prodan a yellow card for diving instead. Nicolae Pădureanu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Adolfo Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Laakmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugen Spoială succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. FC Maci -MM-'s Adolfo Abar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Anhalter in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per Anhalter made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ovidiu Encuțu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Eugen Spoială shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Buback saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz booed when FC Maci -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panait Piersic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fridun Caberta y Diaz made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rupert Glemser immediately put the ball in play. 67 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Fridun Caberta y Diaz came free, but Adolfo Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Buback showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Spoială, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
