In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Ramiro Gizon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th minute Royal PSG were awarded a corner. Jean-Yves Fresnais went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Royal PSG's Jean-Yves Fresnais to fire away a dangerous shot which Ramiro Gizon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Maurice Chalaye cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ramiro Gizon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute, Maurice Chalaye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Maurice Chalaye who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Ramiro Gizon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Chalaye in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Gizon saved ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ from getting behind. Ramiro Gizon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Chalaye, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Chalaye in the 30th minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Ramiro Gizon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Maurice Chalaye cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurice Chalaye stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Maurice Chalaye made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Gizon. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Maurice Chalaye might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramiro Gizon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maurice Chalaye ran back to his position shaking his head. Thomas Ribiere kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Maurice Chalaye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 71 played minutes Royal PSG got a freekick which was hit by Roberto-Carlos Brasil. Maurice Chalaye took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Gizon. Ramiro Gizon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ were furious when Alfonso Urbasa was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Royal PSG a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thomas Ribiere, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Ramiro Gizon. 5-0. Noureddine Burgun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Gizon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Chalaye, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Royal PSG had played much better football throughout.
