MIT's Cristi Foltea managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Viljem Prinčič in the 25 minute of the game. The wind increased when Leontin Iacobescu made the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes NK FOLKROLA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. But to his dismay, Leontin Iacobescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Leontin Iacobescu came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Iacobescu couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, MIT's goalkeeper Vitko Vutev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bore Ristič. After some careless play in the NK FOLKROLA defense, Leontin Iacobescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Venika. The NK FOLKROLA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Venika should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leontin Iacobescu in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Venika prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavius Câmpeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Câmpeanu. NK FOLKROLA's Anto Murg got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anto Murg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Flavius Câmpeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NK FOLKROLA the free kick. After 72 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Câmpeanu. If Leontin Iacobescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute Leontin Iacobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Venika saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Leontin Iacobescu sped through NK FOLKROLA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rene Venika. NK FOLKROLA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
