Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) 3 minutes into the match, Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Zbyszko Duda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leontin Iacobescu. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Marcu Voitiş got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Leontin Iacobescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zbyszko Duda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leontin Iacobescu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Iacobescu in the 21st minute of play forced Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Zbyszko Duda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Leontin Iacobescu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Purple Shadows's Zbyszko Duda. Zbyszko Duda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valer Papadima charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valer Papadima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Valer Papadima hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leontin Iacobescu in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zbyszko Duda saved Purple Shadows from getting behind. Zula Scislowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Vitko Vutev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Purple Shadows's zone, Leontin Iacobescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszko Duda came out of the goal and Leontin Iacobescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as MIT's Leontin Iacobescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zbyszko Duda. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zula Scislowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Opincaru. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Vitko Vutev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 56 minutes into the match, Leontin Iacobescu notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Purple Shadows's Zbyszko Duda. Zbyszko Duda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zbyszko Duda came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by MIT's Leontin Iacobescu. But to his dismay, Leontin Iacobescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Leontin Iacobescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zbyszko Duda having to make a save. In the 68th minute Leontin Iacobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Duda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, MIT's Leontin Iacobescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zbyszko Duda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. MIT's Sever Dobrescu was substituted for Cristi Foltea. Zbyszko Duda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Iacobescu in the 72nd minute of play. Flavius Câmpeanu took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zbyszko Duda. Zbyszko Duda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Ryszard Patrylo's late challenge caught a MIT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryszard Patrylo helped the player get up and apologised. Ryszard Patrylo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Zbyszko Duda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Iacobescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Leontin Iacobescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the MIT players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
