Spectators: 7701 (Terracing: 5777, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elói Senna took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 8 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Montenegro. Victor de Salles took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lúcio Domingues. Lúcio Domingues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Pedro de Senna hit a great ball. After 16 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Fonseca. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when Flying Dutch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Senna came free, but Arthur Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Lúcio Domingues got control of the ball when Jonathan Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's Zé Pedro Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lúcio Domingues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lúcio Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor de Salles's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 30 minutes, Alexsandro da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Iguaçu MZFC and the Flying Dutch players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute Victor de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Victor de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flying Dutch's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arthur Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Senna in the 38th minute of play. Gilmar de Azevedo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Senna in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Jonathan Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Thiago de Mendonça shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lúcio Domingues showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zé Pedro Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Domingues having to make a save. In the 65th minute Victor de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Leme. If Gilmar de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Montenegro in the 69th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Lúcio Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Tiago Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Pedro Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Domingues having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Marques to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Luiz Fábio Leme ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arthur Amorim. Arthur Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After having played for 91 minutes, Tiago Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flying Dutch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when Flying Dutch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
