After 2 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Truylos. After 3 minutes, Ove Svingen made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Águilas Poblanas's Cornelio Mino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute, Kristian Devik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Mino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cornelio Mino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Svingen, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Kristian Devik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Mino skillfully saved the ball. 21 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's Kristian Devik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Mino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Nerd Herd were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Águilas Poblanas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kristian Devik took the corner. The The Nerd Herd fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when The Nerd Herd's Ove Svingen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 26 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's Kristian Devik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Mino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kristian Devik scored 0-4 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Mino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 35 minutes of play, The Nerd Herd's Ove Svingen made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Mino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kristian Devik struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Cornelio Mino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Nerd Herd.

Jon-Inge Kolberg came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Águilas Poblanas's Justo Sagrario. But to his dismay, Justo Sagrario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. In the 60th minute, Axel Norland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Roberto Mateus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Águilas Poblanas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. If Matias Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Fliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes, Ove Svingen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Nerd Herd and the Águilas Poblanas players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Águilas Poblanas booed when The Nerd Herd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Svingen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Sebastian Fliz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Águilas Poblanas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Nerd Herd the free kick. A collision led to Águilas Poblanas getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sebastian Fliz hit a great ball. In the 90th match minute, The Nerd Herd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eivind Engh to maneuver through the defense. The Águilas Poblanas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching The Nerd Herd's performance. The match ended with a win for The Nerd Herd.
