Emil Zátopek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emil Zátopek came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Cobresal's Florín Sances. But to his dismay, Florín Sances quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rómulo Gallegos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Patricio Mayol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Mayol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harrison McCann in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Xavi Thayer got a free kick in the 26th minute. A collision led to Cobresal getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Zelipe Recabarren hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Eriberto Pincheira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emil Zátopek. Internacional Pechofrío's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto Pincheira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 35th minute Florín Sances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Zátopek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goal looked a bit too open when Florín Sances came free, but Emil Zátopek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florín Sances in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Zátopek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harrison McCann was the one to do the kick off. Internacional Pechofrío's Emil Zátopek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florín Sances in the 66th minute of play. Emil Zátopek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Roldán in the 67th minute of play. Florín Sances came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emil Zátopek could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venceslao Solares during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emil Zátopek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Pincheira, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Internacional Pechofrío was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venceslao Solares didn't get a good kick on the ball.
