The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Red John S.K's Jean Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Jorrin in the 3rd minute of play. Baldomero Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Meirelles in the 4th minute of play. Baldomero Asteri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fred Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After 7 played minutes Despidida AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Tab. With an all-out effort, Despidida AFC's Jean Donato threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ulises Hotz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red John S.K's goalkeeper Jean Donato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baldomero Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Meirelles in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio de Lima came free, but Baldomero Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Despidida AFC's Jean Donato threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elpidio Jorrin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leandro Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Asteri having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmo Passos during the 49th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Red John S.K's Dalmo Passos got a free kick in the 49th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 54 minutes of play, Red John S.K's Inácio de Lima made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomero Asteri was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, Red John S.K's goal looked a bit too open when Atila Edu came free, but Jean Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Asteri was a little too slow when Leandro Soares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Hotz in the 70th minute of play forced Red John S.K's goalkeeper Jean Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, Red John S.K was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Leme to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Red John S.K getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Leandro Soares hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Dino Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atila Edu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Meirelles in the 84th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Baldomero Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Ulises Hotz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Red John S.K's Jean Donato. Jean Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute, Gabriel Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulises Hotz scored 2-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jean Donato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jean Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atila Edu in the 97th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
