In the 16th minute Noel Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zarco Bandeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Noel Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. MZ Fénix's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oswaldo Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Noel Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oswaldo Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. MZ Fénix's Zarco Bandeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Lopez in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Nuno Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MZ Fénix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ the free kick. Zarco Bandeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Noel Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Oswaldo Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Oswaldo Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Tinoco in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Noel Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Zarco Bandeira made a huge save. When Noel Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the MZ Fénix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Tinoco couldn't finish the play. Glauco Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarco Bandeira having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Noel Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oswaldo Nunes was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 96th minute Wilian Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Bandeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MZ Fénix had played much better football throughout.
