The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Codrin Olaru's late challenge caught a Tabalongo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codrin Olaru helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tabalongo AFC booed when Granicerul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Olaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. 0-2 became the score in the 13th minute when Eusebiu Ianculescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Codrin Olaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastián Dell´Orto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Olaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Colin in the 18th minute of play forced Tabalongo AFC's goalkeeper Sebastián Dell´Orto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Codrin Olaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Codrin Olaru in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastián Dell´Orto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Orden during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tabalongo AFC's Flavio Orden got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes of play, Granicerul's Eusebiu Ianculescu made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastián Dell´Orto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Granicerul's Costel Strungă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastián Dell´Orto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Codrin Olaru to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Gănescu to maneuver through the defense. Tabalongo AFC's Sebastián Dell´Orto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Tabalongo AFC from getting a goal against them. A very good chance for a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Remus Pinczewski notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Tabalongo AFC's Sebastián Dell´Orto. Sebastián Dell´Orto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remus Pinczewskis short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Sebastián Dell´Orto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Sebastián Dell´Orto managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Granicerul's Remus Pinczewski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 94th minute, Remus Pinczewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Granicerul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Granicerul walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
