The supporters of AS Pikachuzim booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Inger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florian Guderian came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Pikachuzim's Jaime Teixeira. But to his dismay, Jaime Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th minute, Gil Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Luizão Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Sydney FC defense, Victor da Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florian Guderian. The Sydney FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florian Guderian should have stopped the shot. Florian Guderian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Sydney FC's Pedro Luiz Matorin threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pierre Möhn, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Möhn in the 29th minute of play forced AS Pikachuzim's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Guderian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Bittencourt in the 35th minute of play. Kees Plappert hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cristian Bittencourt made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, AS Pikachuzim's Cristian Bittencourt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 57 minutes into the match, Cristian Bittencourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florian Guderian. Sydney FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Bittencourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 65th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Michel to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Florian Guderian made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakov Stähr in the 73rd minute of play forced AS Pikachuzim's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney FC's Florian Guderian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Sydney FC from getting a goal against them. Victor da Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor da Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute of the match, Claudinei do Valle got a very nice opportunity to score, but Florian Guderian was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vito Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florian Guderian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Gabriel Michel charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Michel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Gabriel Michel got a free kick in the 95th minute. Florian Guderian made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Cristian Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. The Sydney FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AS Pikachuzim's performance. The match ended with a win for AS Pikachuzim.
