Philip Bakewell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Nistor Zamfir made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Pawel Dawidowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atlético de Newell's Matthieu Abelard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristide Răzvan in the 34th minute of play. Nistor Zamfir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keith Knightley in the 39th minute of the match. George Teodoreanu hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Bakewell got free with Nistor Zamfir in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AFC Nirosxn 08's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Keith Knightley 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Bakewell in the 51st minute of play forced AFC Nirosxn 08's goalkeeper Nistor Zamfir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nistor Zamfir came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético de Newell's Philip Bakewell. But to his dismay, Philip Bakewell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, AFC Nirosxn 08's Olimpiu Şantău got a free kick in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the match, AFC Nirosxn 08's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Bakewell came free, but Nistor Zamfir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nistor Zamfir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Bakewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's Philip Bakewell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nistor Zamfir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Matthieu Abelard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nae Josan. Romeo Toma looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Matthieu Abelard. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Nirosxn 08's zone, Philip Bakewell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nistor Zamfir came out of the goal and Philip Bakewell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AFC Nirosxn 08's Nistor Zamfir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philip Bakewell in the 88th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Philip Bakewell put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nistor Zamfir. Philip Bakewell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético de Newell fully deserved thier win.
