A well-hit corner resulted in Stian Hammeren heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 11th minute Anton Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes Cheeky Nuts United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcel Bărcăuan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Stiinta-Univ.'s Irinel Itoafă getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Aristide Pupăzan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheeky Nuts United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Aristide Pupăzan got a free kick in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Anton Johansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Denis Ghee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Denis Ghee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Johansson in the 33rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Anton Johansson sped through Stiinta-Univ.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Denis Ghee. Cent Haugsvær took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Muntean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Cheeky Nuts United were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurențiu Muntean made a kick off. Anton Johansson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Cheeky Nuts United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Sandum didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Anton Johansson took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Denis Ghee to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Stian Systad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Denis Ghee. That made the score 0-5 in the 59 minute of play. Denis Ghee was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ken Nordtveit showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 64 minute of play. Fermin Arixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Denis Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ken Nordtveit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Fermin Arixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheeky Nuts United's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Arixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Ghee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st match minute, Cheeky Nuts United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Finne to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Laurențiu Muntean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cent Haugsvær saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Cheeky Nuts United's goal looked a bit too open when Laurențiu Muntean came free, but Cent Haugsvær reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Arixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
