Denis Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Bazylnikov in the 7th minute of play. Zgierskie Zlewy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcel Bărcăuan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Stiinta-Univ.'s Traian Lupescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Andrzejewski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristide Pupăzan during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Pupăzan. Stiinta-Univ.'s Aristide Pupăzan got his second yellow card of the match in the 20th minute. The referee ordered Aristide Pupăzan off the ground. In the 20th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Pupăzan to maneuver through the defense. Stiinta-Univ.'s Denis Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Napoleon Literski in the 21st minute of play. Denis Ghee made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Napoleon Literski sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Irinel Itoafă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Irinel Itoafă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Andrzejewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Napoleon Literski could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Denis Ghee however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Borza in the 35th minute of play forced Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper Jan Andrzejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Irinel Itoafă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes Zgierskie Zlewy got a freekick which was hit by Jedrzej Kempski. After 40 minutes, Traian Lupescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stiinta-Univ. and the Zgierskie Zlewy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Traian Lupescu hit a great ball. Napoleon Literski in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Denis Ghee, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnaba Bazylnikov in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Ghee saved Stiinta-Univ. from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jan Andrzejewski made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Ovidiu Borza sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Jedrzej Kempski put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Zgierskie Zlewy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stiinta-Univ.:s goal. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Zgierskie Zlewy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Literski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski got control of the ball when Ovidiu Borza tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wladyslaw Bulkiewicz during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Zgierskie Zlewy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wladyslaw Bulkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stiinta-Univ.'s Marcel Bărcăuan got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Barnaba Bazylnikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Napoleon Literski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zgierskie Zlewy and the Stiinta-Univ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Zgierskie Zlewy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Literski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Marcel Bărcăuan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Cazimir Pânzaru got a free kick in the 74th minute. Barnaba Bazylnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Ghee having to interfere. Denis Ghee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Bazylnikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Irinel Itoafă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cazimir Pânzaru got free with Jan Andrzejewski in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Zgierskie Zlewy fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stiinta-Univ. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
