In the 3rd minute Albert Dășanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Dominic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute Alonso Javier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Vieru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Igon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavius Stoicea hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Victor Angheluș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Dominic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Jairo Dominic successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nechifor Ilie hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Marin Bârza got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Marco Evangelista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Damian Vieru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonso Javier in the 27th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper Damian Vieru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vampiros Aztecas's Jairo Dominic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Vampiros Aztecas from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Albert Dășanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emerald's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Dășanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Dominic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vampiros Aztecas's Melchor Igon got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Dominic made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Albert Dășanu sent off a good shot on target. Albert Dășanu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alonso Javier was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Isac Manciulescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Damian Vieru came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vampiros Aztecas's Melchor Igon. But to his dismay, Melchor Igon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Isac Manciulescu put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jairo Dominic. In the 81st minute Victor Angheluș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Dominic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Manciulescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jairo Dominic. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isac Manciulescu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 83 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Nesor. In the 84th minute of the match Mugurel Cezar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jairo Dominic showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 88 played minutes, Vampiros Aztecas's Valentin Nesor shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damian Vieru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vampiros Aztecas reached it. The supporters of Vampiros Aztecas booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Manciulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerald walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
