Pedro Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chi Bay, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 12th minute of the match, Milton Friedman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mekki Pink saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Milton Friedman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mekki Pink was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chi Bay in the 21st minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Pedro Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mekki Pink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elano de Salles to make the kick off. Mekki Pink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano de Salles in the 51st minute of the match. The referee ignored JEMBer UTara's protests and gave Raja Sepik a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, JEMBer UTara's Raja Sepik got a free kick in the 58th minute. Chi Bay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Pedro Mazza made a huge save. In the 64th match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Arruda to maneuver through the defense. Fabiofs's Milton Friedman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mekki Pink in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mekki Pink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano de Salles in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Fabiofs booed when JEMBer UTara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jafar Mursadat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiofs's Pedro Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chi Bay in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Chi Bay managed to get in a good position for a shot. JEMBer UTara's supporters rose to their feet, but Chi Bay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Chi Bay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Mazza. Fabiofs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chi Bay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched JEMBer UTara eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
