Misericordia EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Vliegplein the free kick. After 2 played minutes Misericordia EC got a freekick which was hit by Bob Chute. Carlos Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesly Leenpoels, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Bob Chutes short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Mark Jansens to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Misericordia EC's Carlos Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesly Leenpoels in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob Chute in the 15th minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Mark Jansens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Misericordia EC's zone, Thierry Nagels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Dias came out of the goal and Thierry Nagels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wesly Leenpoels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thierry Nagels in the 31st minute of the match. Thierry Nagels took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Dias. Carlos Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Misericordia EC's Bob Chute in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Vliegplein's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Vliegplein's zone, Bob Chute stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Jansens came out of the goal and Bob Chute tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bob Chute in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mark Jansens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. KFC Vliegplein's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Caetano Mattos scored to the left of an out of position Mark Jansens, making the score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bob Chute to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, KFC Vliegplein's Jochen Vogels got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Bob Chute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Jansens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bob Chute recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caetano Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Misericordia EC booed when KFC Vliegplein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochen Vogels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Jansens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Chute in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bob Chute in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Jansens saved KFC Vliegplein from getting behind. Carlos Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesly Leenpoels, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 75 minutes into the game, when Ian Brasil put in a rough tackle. In the 77th minute Wesly Leenpoels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Wesly Leenpoels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Dias. Misericordia EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wesly Leenpoels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 80th minute Wesly Leenpoels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Mattos in the 82nd minute of play forced KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Mark Jansens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Caetano Mattos notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of KFC Vliegplein's Mark Jansens. Mark Jansens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, KFC Vliegplein's Jochen Vogels got a free kick in the 89th minute. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by KFC Vliegplein's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bob Chute was slow to take the kick. During this time Misericordia EC's players had a chance to rest. Misericordia EC's Luiz Paulo Ferraz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mark Jansens in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Luiz Paulo Ferraz put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mark Jansens. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Misericordia EC had won after a very even match.
