The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Roark in the 4th minute of play forced ADCR Loreto United FC's goalkeeper Hilário Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as ADCR Loreto United FC's Vítor Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonah Peck. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Kevin Roark blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilário Salgado having to make a save. El Canalla de Chicago's Martin Tuttle got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the ADCR Loreto United FC defense, Kevin Roark kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilário Salgado. The ADCR Loreto United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilário Salgado should have stopped the shot. Hilário Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Roark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Homero Carvalhal during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ADCR Loreto United FC's Homero Carvalhal got a free kick in the 17th minute. Alexandre Anjos hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Akers. Kermit DeJesus's late challenge caught a ADCR Loreto United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kermit DeJesus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Kermit DeJesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, ADCR Loreto United FC's Jonah Peck threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vítor Dantas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, ADCR Loreto United FC's Alexandre Anjos got a free kick in the 29th minute. Donato Gago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jonah Peck made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Vítor Dantas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ADCR Loreto United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Hilário Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Roark, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Hilário Salgado came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by El Canalla de Chicago's Martin Tuttle. But to his dismay, Martin Tuttle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Hilário Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Roark in the 51st minute of the match. Vítor Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonah Peck having to interfere. Kevin Roark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Canalla de Chicago made a substitution. Scott Souza replaced Clark Lindsey. ADCR Loreto United FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kevin Roark 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. After 63rd play minutes Scott Souza shot 2-4, a short shot which went by Hilário Salgado and just under the crossbar into goal. Vítor Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonah Peck having to interfere. If Donato Gago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilário Salgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Scott Souza's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Scott Souza in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilário Salgado saved ADCR Loreto United FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernie Rosales got free with Hilário Salgado in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
