The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Sergipano during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michel Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Lore in the 8th minute of play. Silvio Totakoxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Tuste in the 10th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Mateo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amadeo Tuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 20 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Isauro came free, but Carlos Augusto Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jonas Torres hit a great ball. Carlos Augusto Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Mateo in the 26th minute of play. Caio Boldrini kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Recife made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Joaquin Lore sent off a good shot on target. Palmeiras's Amadeo Tuste got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to La Bichineta getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Fernan Mateo hit a great ball. Palmeiras's Toninho Prestes was substituted for Dagoberto Moura. Fernan Mateo hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Tião Tróia's late challenge caught a La Bichineta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tião Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half Palmeiras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquin Lore made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, La Bichineta's Joaquin Lore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Recife made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Edgardo Ugutz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Silvio Totakoxe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nilton Soeiro went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when La Bichineta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Isauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Bichineta's Silvio Totakoxe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save La Bichineta from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute, Nilton Soeiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvio Totakoxe. The goal made the score 1-3. Silvio Totakoxe was a little too slow when Tião Tróia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-4. Carlos Augusto Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Lore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, João Adolfo Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Lore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Augusto Recife. Palmeiras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carlos Augusto Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Mark in the 84th minute of play. Palmeiras's Rodriguinho Carneiro was substituted for Artur Fonelleda. 90 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Lore came free, but Carlos Augusto Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Lore took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Augusto Recife. Carlos Augusto Recife dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Palmeiras walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
