The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when La Bichineta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Lore didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Club El Progreso's Ignacio Ebere made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Jordy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvaro Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Jordy having to interfere. Club El Progreso's Javier Milei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Lore in the 16th minute of play. When Ted Tolsson fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club El Progreso's protests and gave Ted Tolsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Club El Progreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Tolsson to maneuver through the defense. Javier Milei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Lore in the 29th minute of play. Eduardo Jordy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Cordobé in the 31st minute of the match.
