In the 3rd minute Sezer İnan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanny Helssens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Raymaekers was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 9 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gothic Souls booed when Kickers United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Raymaekers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Özden Nesefi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Stanny Helssens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kickers United's Stanny Helssens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ergün Penbe in the 15th minute of play. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Xabi Alonso sped through Kickers United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stanny Helssens. Stanny Helssens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Öztürk Umuralp in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Öztürk Umuralp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanny Helssens. Kickers United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Öztürk Umuralp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 39thth minute of the game Xabi Alonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kickers United's Stanny Helssens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Öztürk Umuralp in the 42nd minute of play forced Kickers United's goalkeeper Stanny Helssens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Gothic Souls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Harun Şahbey to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Öztürk Umuralp to make the kick off. Stanny Helssens was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Öztürk Umuralp capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Öztürk Umuralp really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. 57 minutes into the match, Ergün Penbe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stanny Helssens, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ergün Penbe got free with Stanny Helssens in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th match minute, Kickers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bavo Poortmans to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Kickers United's goalkeeper Stanny Helssens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Öztürk Umuralp. After 66 played minutes Gothic Souls got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Harun Şahbey. In the 68th minute, Ergün Penbe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanny Helssens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sezer İnan in the 74th minute of play forced Kickers United's goalkeeper Stanny Helssens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Ergün Penbe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stanny Helssens. Ergün Penbe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Öztürk Umuralp in the 86th minute of play forced Kickers United's goalkeeper Stanny Helssens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanny Helssens was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Sezer İnan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sezer İnan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. Stanny Helssens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Öztürk Umuralp in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Gothic Souls left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kickers United.
