Inter de Chillán's Elodio Angellotti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Parente in the 20th minute of play. AC 1986 Vinalito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emiliano Spott in the 21st minute. Javier Casas took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucio Eate. Lucio Eate dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Elodio Angellotti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Spott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Parente in the 31st minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Elodio Angellotti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Nicolas Parente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elodio Angellotti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Marcos Soto got a free kick in the 35th minute. Francisco Lacunza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Parente's late challenge caught a Inter de Chillán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Parente helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AC 1986 Vinalito getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Nicolas Parente hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes AC 1986 Vinalito got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Marin. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of AC 1986 Vinalito booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Pablo Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
