Spectators: 7700 (Terracing: 5776, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) Inter de Chillán's Francisco Lacunza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Los Delfines's Nunez Pacho got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 5th minute, Francisco Lacunza made a precise shot to the right of Horacio Heriberto. Los Delfines's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 13th minute, Francisco Lacunza made a precise shot to the right of Horacio Heriberto. Los Delfines's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After some careless play in the Los Delfines defense, Francisco Lacunza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Heriberto. The Los Delfines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Heriberto should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Los Delfines booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Casas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Los Delfines's Sacha Boey made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elodio Angellotti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horacio Heriberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Valdivia, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Juan Pablo Toro hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Elodio Angellotti acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alejandro Illan. After 34 played minutes Los Delfines got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Ramirez. Elodio Angellotti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sergio Ixaka showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 38 minute of play. Luis Ekhi kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Horacio Heriberto came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Chillán's Javier Casas. But to his dismay, Javier Casas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Charles Darwin made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Sacha Boey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elodio Angellotti was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 54 minutes into the game, Inter de Chillán's Jorge Valdivia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horacio Heriberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. 57 minutes into the match, Francisco Lacunza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horacio Heriberto. Los Delfines's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Lacunza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. 59 minutes into the game, Jorge Valdivia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-8. Horacio Heriberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Valdivia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horacio Heriberto. That made the score 2-10 in the 68 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sacha Boey in the 71st minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Elodio Angellotti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Los Delfines got a corner. Inter de Chillán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alejandro Illan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Inter de Chillán's goalie and right to Sergio Ixaka. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Inter de Chillán's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 74 minutes into the match, Francisco Lacunza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horacio Heriberto, 2-11. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Valdivia in the 78th minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Horacio Heriberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Javier Casas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horacio Heriberto, 2-12. Sergio Ixaka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elodio Angellotti having to interfere. Elodio Angellotti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Ixaka in the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Jorge Valdivia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Horacio Heriberto. The goal made the score 2-13. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Lacunza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Heriberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-14. Inter de Chillán's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
