The referee showed Gregório Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixto Jurgi in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamilton Poças prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Sixto Jurgi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamilton Poças was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gastão Cesário in the 70th minute of play forced Copérnico F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristian Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Silvano Morais's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Gau was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. If Sixto Jurgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Copérnico F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sporting Clube V.R.S.A..
