Geronimo Rainerio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Telmo Bulhosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th match minute, VB-Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Osvaldo Vilaverde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Quitilipi's Geronimo Rainerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Castro in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Hector Silvanito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Vilaverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Quitilipi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Beltza didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Quitilipi's Geronimo Rainerio got control of the ball when Telmo Bulhosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geronimo Rainerio was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Telmo Bulhosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Telmo Bulhosa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 34th minute of the match VB-Team got a corner. Quitilipi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humberto Castro ran over to the corner to take the kick. VB-Team's Humberto Castro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Geronimo Rainerio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 38th minute, Humberto Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VB-Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 43rd minute of the match, Humberto Castro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geronimo Rainerio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Geronimo Rainerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Silvanito was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Quitilipi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Telmo Bulhosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geronimo Rainerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Telmo Bulhosa put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Geronimo Rainerio. Eduardo Llorienzo charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduardo Llorienzo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Castro in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geronimo Rainerio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Aprígio Campos fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VB-Team's protests and gave Aprígio Campos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Aprígio Campos got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quitilipi! Humberto Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geronimo Rainerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Geronimo Rainerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Bulhosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Bulhosa came free, but Geronimo Rainerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Quitilipi booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nélson Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Quitilipi's Hector Silvanito got a free kick in the 97th minute. VB-Team's Humberto Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. VB-Team were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Quitilipi for a fine match.
