The audience thought a goal was coming when Martinez Maravilha got free with Joel Maciel in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarana FC's Elpidio Primo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Prokowski in the 16th minute of play. Abel Lameirinhas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Cássio Portugal kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Israel Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Maciel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafin Menendo in the 25th minute. Paolo Fernendo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Garanhão do SUL were furious when Israel Coutinho was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Alexandre Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Primo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. When Paolo Balasi fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jarana FC's protests and gave Paolo Balasi a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Jarana FC got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Balasi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martinez Maravilha got free with Joel Maciel in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Prokowski to make the kick off. Damian Prokowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Prokowski in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Angelo Di María hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Garanhão do SUL played a much better game than Jarana FC and deserved their victory. The Jarana FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
