In the 6th minute of the match ALMA GUERREIRA got a corner. C.A. GUAYACO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ulisses Vinhas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led ALMA GUERREIRA's Ulisses Vinhas to fire away a dangerous shot which Aguinaga Queipo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aguinaga Queipo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto de Godoi in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Luis Rechani got a free kick in the 10th minute. Vânderson Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Paniagua, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Vela Garros came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the C.A. GUAYACO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vela Garros couldn't finish the play. A collision led to ALMA GUERREIRA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sebastião Soares hit a great ball. Armando Paniagua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Aguinaga Queipo managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when ALMA GUERREIRA's Bebeto de Godoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bebeto de Godoi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Aguinaga Queipo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to ALMA GUERREIRA getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Sebastião Soares hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Vela Garros got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 23rd minute, Vela Garros fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Joel da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Aguinaga Queipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Luis Rechani. 31 minutes into the match, Walme Saucedo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ALMA GUERREIRA's Vânderson Severo. Vânderson Severo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bebeto de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walme Saucedo during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Walme Saucedo got a free kick in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto de Godoi in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aguinaga Queipo saved C.A. GUAYACO from getting behind. A hard shot 45 in the game by Bebeto de Godoi from a close distance when the talented Aguinaga Queipo managed to make a qualified save. C.A. GUAYACO's players were relieved. 47 minutes into the game, Silvinho Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ALMA GUERREIRA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. GUAYACO the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Paniagua to strike the kick off in the second half. Vânderson Severo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gutierrez Tizon. Joel da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Aguinaga Queipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Vela Garros. The ALMA GUERREIRA fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when ALMA GUERREIRA's Bebeto de Godoi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 73 played minutes C.A. GUAYACO got a freekick which was hit by Clemente De La Torre. Silvinho Pirani was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. ALMA GUERREIRA's Vânderson Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save ALMA GUERREIRA from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genílson Alvarenga during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute of the game, Armando Paniagua landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, ALMA GUERREIRA's Ulisses Vinhas got a free kick in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Botelho in the 91st minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Aguinaga Queipo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tião Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Adrianinho Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguinaga Queipo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ALMA GUERREIRA were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after C.A. GUAYACO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulisses Vinhas took the corner. ALMA GUERREIRA's Ulisses Vinhas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aguinaga Queipo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Cueto in the 97th minute of play forced ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper Vânderson Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
