When Rolando Todor came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Jarana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Todor couldn't finish the play. A collision led to C.A. GUAYACO getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Luis Rechani hit a great ball. Zeledon Hermon struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Aguinaga Queipo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jarana FC. Jarana FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zeledon Hermon in the 15th minute. The corner led Jarana FC's Atilano Jerrold to fire away a dangerous shot which Aguinaga Queipo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aguinaga Queipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aguinaga Queipo came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Jarana FC's Martinez Maravilha. But to his dismay, Martinez Maravilha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, C.A. GUAYACO's Walme Saucedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elpidio Primo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Serafin Menendo charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafin Menendo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jarana FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Serafin Menendo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Jarana FC's Paolo Balasi got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Luis Rechani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes, Jarana FC's Angelo Di María shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aguinaga Queipo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jarana FC reached it. C.A. GUAYACO's Aguinaga Queipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martinez Maravilha in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Martinez Maravilha notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of C.A. GUAYACO's Aguinaga Queipo. Aguinaga Queipo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45thth minute of the game Martinez Maravilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. GUAYACO's Aguinaga Queipo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Atilano Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
In the 52nd minute, C.A. GUAYACO's Vincent Murieta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vincent Murieta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of C.A. GUAYACO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vincent Murieta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 51st minute, one of C.A. GUAYACO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A. GUAYACO. In the 56th minute Walme Saucedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Primo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cris Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Vela Garros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. GUAYACO's zone, Rolando Todor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aguinaga Queipo came out of the goal and Rolando Todor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martinez Maravilha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Aguinaga Queipo made a huge save. In the 66th match minute, C.A. GUAYACO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vela Garros to maneuver through the defense. Martinez Maravilhas short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Aguinaga Queipo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martinez Maravilha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Aguinaga Queipo made a huge save. George Temes kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Aguinaga Queipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinez Maravilha in the 72nd minute of play. C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Martinez Maravilha 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Elpidio Primo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vela Garros, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Martinez Maravilha notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of C.A. GUAYACO's Aguinaga Queipo. Aguinaga Queipo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafin Menendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Jarana FC's Rolando Todor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aguinaga Queipo. Aguinaga Queipo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. In the 95thth minute of the game Martinez Maravilha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. GUAYACO's Aguinaga Queipo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vela Garros's late challenge caught a Jarana FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vela Garros helped the player get up and apologised. Vela Garros hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Jarana FC's Paolo Fernendo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 98th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aguinaga Queipo but with some difficulty. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jarana FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
