The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ilie Brumaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Dimo's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When Petre Bogătan fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cosula-BTF-'s protests and gave Petre Bogătan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Dep. Union Madereros booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petre Bogătan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Ismael Ourente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to FC Cosula-BTF- getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Aron Mitruț hit a great ball. The supporters of Club Dep. Union Madereros booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurel Lăceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Cornelio Servando quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aurel Lăceanu, made in the 31st minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Fabio Dimo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilie Brumaru. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Dimo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ciprian Gaiță could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Róbert Szepesvári made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Ourente came free, but Ilie Brumaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute Olimpiu Teodorescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbert Szepesvári saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Ourente was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Gaiță in the 54th minute of play forced Club Dep. Union Madereros's goalkeeper Róbert Szepesvári to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Laurendi in the 76th minute of play. Cornelio Servando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Ilie Brumaru made a huge save. Club Dep. Union Madereros's Róbert Szepesvári played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 86th minute of play. With his leg Ilie Brumaru managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Club Dep. Union Madereros's Placido Domingues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Placido Domingues succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 94th playminute.
