Hélder Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siro Cordeiro having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Leonardo Salvadore notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa. Bernardo Corrêa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 7th minute, Patricio Tiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Hélder Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Salvadore in the 14th minute of play. Bernardo Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Salvadore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Txomin. Hélder Trigo's late challenge caught a CENTAURO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélder Trigo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Trigo in the 27th minute of play forced CENTAURO's goalkeeper Siro Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Cresencio in the 28th minute of play. Vascogoianiense FC's Diogo Zonta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Patricio Tiso in the 30 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Salvadore got free with Bernardo Corrêa in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Vascogoianiense FC's Bernardo Corrêa got control of the ball when Leonardo Salvadore tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Victor Bittor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bernardo Corrêa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Trigo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Cresencio came free, but Bernardo Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Salvadore in the 53rd minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 played minutes Vascogoianiense FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Ortiz. Hélder Trigos short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Siro Cordeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Patricio Tiso got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Reynaldo Txomin. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Dida Baiano put in a rough tackle. In the 71st match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Baiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute of the match Basilio Cresencio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Corrêa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Leonardo Salvadore made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Corrêa. Vascogoianiense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Pablo Giraldo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Hélder Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Siro Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Salvadore scored 5-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo Corrêa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Diogo Zonta could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Siro Cordeiro however easily saved by the left post. Hélder Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Salvadore in the 94th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that CENTAURO were the better team. CENTAURO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
