The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Csaba Virágh put in a rough tackle. 9 minutes into the game, one of Nagyváradi AC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 13th minute LKS Do Bigosu were awarded a corner. Witomir Naujasodis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led LKS Do Bigosu's Witomir Naujasodis to fire away a dangerous shot which Gyula Grosics despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. László Márton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Gwidon Sawicki made a huge save. Gyula Grosics took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kacper Matela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gyula Grosics showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Waselenczuk in the 21st minute of the match. Gwidon Sawicki was a little too slow when Doğan Gayret got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0.
