Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Amarandei in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximino Constancio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, Jairo Rutenio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximino Constancio. Club Deportivo Álvarez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Rutenio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Maximino Constancio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Espirillo FC had won after a very even match.
