In the 3rd minute of the match, Bogdan Goma got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elbert Plescher was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 4 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Godfried Robben came free, but Unai Simon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Goma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Elbert Plescher made a huge save. Felix Dobrea's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elbert Plescher firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 11th minute, Johannes van Zwieten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Tinge to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Bogdan Goma recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elbert Plescher. Bogdan Goma showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 29 minutes Alexandria Team08's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ferdi van der Schaaf who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jacques Stubbe heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Pieter Oost kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. De Pelgrims's Elbert Plescher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Bâru in the 35th minute of play. Manuel Amânaloae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Elbert Plescher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elbert Plescher made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Felix Dobrea sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Ciprian Avacariței hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Goma came free, but Elbert Plescher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kees Lammens's late challenge caught a Alexandria Team08's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kees Lammens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute Bogdan Goma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elbert Plescher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elbert Plescher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Goma, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Gerard van Diemen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Gerard van Diemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute of the match Tiberiu Iuga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elbert Plescher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alexandria Team08's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiberiu Iuga in the 66th minute. The corner led Alexandria Team08's Eduard Vrejiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Elbert Plescher despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Elbert Plescher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Vrejiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, De Pelgrims's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Amânaloae came free, but Elbert Plescher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes De Pelgrims's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiberiu Iuga who took care of the corner kick. Valentin Susara kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. De Pelgrims's Elbert Plescher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Goma in the 79th minute of play. Elbert Plescher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Dobrea in the 81st minute of the match. Elbert Plescher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Dobrea, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Alexandria Team08's Unai Simon got control of the ball when Jouke Jacobs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandria Team08's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
