Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Isaac Perrando kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Nae Martinescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia Rio and the Martin Palermo F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5thth minute of the game Isaac Perrando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, Severino Loco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Nicu Burtea sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Martin Palermo F.C.'s Martín Izquierdo didn't even have to move. Cezar Jder kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Perrando in the 20th minute of play. Nechifor Epure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Frutos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With an all-out effort, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Nechifor Epure threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Celso Frutos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nechifor Epure was a little too slow when Benjamin Izquierdo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Iurie Mutu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Rio's supporters rose to their feet, but Iurie Mutu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martín Izquierdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the game, Severino Loco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martin Palermo F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academia Rio the free kick. Severino Loco kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sever Vintilescu made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Izquierdo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sever Vintilescu. Benjamin Izquierdo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Nechifor Epure took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Izquierdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Benjamin Izquierdo got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Sever Vintilescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd match minute, Martin Palermo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Loco to maneuver through the defense. Nechifor Epure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benicio Izquierdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Dario Cordarrol kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Martín Izquierdo was a little too slow when Sever Vintilescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-1. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Dario Cordarrol hit a great ball. After 87 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Severino Loco. After 92 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Paul Cucu. Benjamin Izquierdo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
