The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Bilintx got free with Desiderio Frederik in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jimeno Elodio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Desiderio Frederik having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Elodio got free with Desiderio Frederik in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Desiderio Frederik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Elodio in the 25th minute of the match. The Deportivo Tachito fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Deportivo Tachito's Felipe Dabi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The Sporting de Gijón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Desiderio Frederik should have stopped the shot.
