Spectators: 7853 (Terracing: 5891, Seating: 1806, VIP seats: 156) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benjamim Medeiros started the match with the kick off. Chiquinho Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Vergílio having to interfere. Sandrinho Travassos's late challenge caught a Mestre GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandrinho Travassos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Maxaranguape - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sandrinho Travassos hit a great ball. When Chiquinho Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Mestre GG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho Sergipano couldn't finish the play. Francisco do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gildo Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Cordeiro in the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yuri Cordeiro in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco do Vale saved Mestre GG from getting behind. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mestre GG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wesley Pimenta was slow to take the kick. During this time Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. Wesley Pimenta made a great header on Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Mestre GG's Francisco do Vale managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 30 minutes, Gildo Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mestre GG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Júnior Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Paiva in the 40th minute of the match. Chiquinho Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Vergílio having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gildo Sá got free with Júnior Vergílio in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agostinho Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuri Cordeiro made a kick off. After 56 minutes, Wesley Pimenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maxaranguape - FSCMZ and the Mestre GG players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. If Gildo Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 played minutes Maxaranguape - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Simão Zanette. Júnior Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simão Zanette's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Francisco do Vale skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gildo Sá in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júnior Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Célio Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The long shot by Wesley Pimenta in the 67th minute really tested Francisco do Vale's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Benjamim Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Júnior Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Medeiros in the 71st minute of play forced Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Júnior Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Marco Secco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisco do Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Mestre GG's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Cordeiro came free, but Francisco do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Agostinho Moreno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Gildo Sá struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Júnior Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mestre GG. The supporters of Mestre GG booed when Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Júnior Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Sergipano in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Mestre GG booed when Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gildo Sá struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Júnior Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mestre GG. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mestre GG's much stronger midfield.
