Despite this Aloísio Vargas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Ian Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Undheim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adelino Simão hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Wilson Piazza charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilson Piazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Piazza. Philip Undheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Undheim in the 38th minute of play. After 40 minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Torkel Kolbjørnsen who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Abreu in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobald Ciempa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vicente Chaves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Teobald Ciempa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 48th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Guedes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Naldo Guedes got a free kick in the 49th minute.

The wind increased when Perivaldo Valle made the kick off in the second half. If Perivaldo Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Teobald Ciempa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Valle in the 98th minute of the match. If Perivaldo Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AC Mizeria were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's much stronger midfield.
