JuSi Malacky's Denver Gagnon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Ibar in the 11th minute of play. Denver Gagnon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Ibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to JuSi Malacky getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Matej Harvan hit a great ball. Denver Gagnon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Gerardo Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denver Gagnon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ľubomír Čuntala in the 30th minute of play forced Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Aloísio Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matej Harvan kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Denver Gagnon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Aloísio Vargas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Cruzeiro Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perivaldo Valle was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Gerardo Ibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denver Gagnon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Perivaldo Valle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Denver Gagnon. That made the score 0-1 after 66 minutes of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Matej Harvan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JuSi Malacky's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matej Harvan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denver Gagnon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Chaves got free with Denver Gagnon in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denver Gagnon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Valle in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Ľubomír Čuntala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Viktor Kvietkovič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes JuSi Malacky got a freekick which was hit by Matej Harvan.
