The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Lázaro Cordarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Severino Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Boedo Vengo's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Osoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Lázaro Cordarius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Boedo Vengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 24 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Kemen. The supporters of De Boedo Vengo booed when LegionArgentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Sayvion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saul Osoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Lluciano in the 32nd minute of the match. Lázaro Cordarius might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saul Osoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lázaro Cordarius ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmiro Cibran in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saul Osoitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. György Kósa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 41 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Yu Yao. György Kósa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Jon Hagström made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when György Kósa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Gustaw Wicherek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Hagström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, LegionArgentina's Saul Osoitz got control of the ball when Lázaro Cordarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Lluciano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 53rd playminute. Angel Mitxel hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match.
