After having played for 6 minutes, Freddy Dove managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 8th match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Zbigniew Cymbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gustavson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chiquinho de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo Gustavson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save New Joinville - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zbigniew Cymbal got free with Gustavo Gustavson in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute, Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radoslaw Miarka was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Radoslaw Miarka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Dove, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Radoslaw Miarka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo in the 31st minute of play. Ziemowit Madej made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Borys Skaradowski. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Freddy Dove got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Radoslaw Miarka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Dove in the 41st minute of the match. Igor Magalhães's late challenge caught a Astral's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Igor Magalhães hit a great ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo fell near the penalty area in the 49th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Joinville - FSCMZ's protests and gave Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo got a free kick in the 49th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Freddy Dove left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Freddy Dove got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, one of Astral:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Astral. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Urtsua in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radoslaw Miarka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. New Joinville - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Astral's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Radoslaw Miarka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 73 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Zbigniew Cymbal came free, but Gustavo Gustavson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xande Koeman hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute Zbigniew Cymbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gustavson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucio Urtsua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radoslaw Miarka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Astral's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Astral's Radoslaw Miarka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Urtsua in the 99th minute of play. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Astral supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching New Joinville - FSCMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for New Joinville - FSCMZ.
