A collision led to La Candela FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Fulgencio Berto hit a great ball. Victoriano Sazon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ailar Heinväli having to make a save. 28 minutes into the game, Generoso Gaskon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Candela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapa Athlétic™ the free kick. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Generoso Gaskon got a free kick in the 28th minute. Ailar Heinväli came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by La Candela FC's Amadeo Su. But to his dismay, Amadeo Su quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 33rd minute Victoriano Sazon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ailar Heinväli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Candela FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vicente Gerazan in the 35th minute. After 40 played minutes Tapa Athlétic™ got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Mäekala. In the 43rd minute, Ivo Mäekala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kuldar Eluvee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the La Candela FC defense, Ivo Mäekala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benigno Guillem. The La Candela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Guillem should have stopped the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
