Arnaldo Justin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Robert Enke made a huge save. Defensores del Albinegro were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Terceirense F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arnaldo Justin took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Ubaldo Rio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 44th minute, Lucas Luis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gabriel Loyarte made the kick off in the second half. Robert Enke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Rio in the 51st minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Amável Rangel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Terceirense F.C. made a substitution. Gregório Moutinho replaced Pedro Mantorras. After a rather tough play, Terceirense F.C.'s Amável Rangel got a free kick in the 65th minute. Norberto Leiria charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto Leiria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Robert Enke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
