Örebro FF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ivan Turina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Merentiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Örebro FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Magnusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Turina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Merentiel in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Örebro FF's Geovani Dracena got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, one of Abuba Akotonon FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Abuba Akotonon FC. Amadeo Jatsu had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Rutger Magnusson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Gaafar Jesus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abuba Akotonon FC's Amadeo Jatsu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
